"Be honest and ask questions. Know what you are getting into."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"There's a lot of micromanagement, backstabbing and underhandedness. There's also no work/life balance, overly corporate policies and unrealistic/unnatural procedures demanded of us."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Listen to employee suggestions and complaints. Treat them as individuals, and not as numbers."

"Keep everything in perspective, everything will change at some point, try to acclimate to changing priorities frequently, and take it all with a grain of salt."

"We are measured in so many ways that there is always a negative aspect of our performance to point out, the way in which our performance is changed frequently."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would give the stores better pricing than our website to drive bigger accessory and home sales. I would take some of the products off of our frontline seller's plates in order to streamline our sales and service."

"I appreciated the company name, the high status clients and my coworkers. Also, working and business hours were semi-flexible, which was nice."

"Aim as high as you can, because unless you know someone or went to a training program in Atlanta (in addition to being really good at your job), it can take a while."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"Managers are moody, health insurance benefits for level one managers are horrible, and there are no really great incentives for employment."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Provide better benefits for management than are offered by the union, and allow for more opportunities for advancement."

"Don't work for AT&T. If you have any other options, take them. You are required to do strike duty on top of your own job every 3 years and you can be fired if you don't."

"The managers are allowed to be as crummy or nice to employees as they want. There are no rules and the company does not follow any employment laws."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Learn to treat your employees with respect and like adults. Make managers accountable for their behavior. Make employee recommendations of their bosses part of performance reviews."
