"I've worked with AT&T for a little over 2 years and I have learned a lot during my time there about sales and the experience helped me mature and grow into the salesman that I am today. Management was amazing and my coworkers made me look forward to coming into work every day and a healthy work environment all around is something that's hard to find these days in any job setting."

"AT&T good. Few ppl a pain, they weren't directly with the company, I could deal with 'em."

What do you like about working at AT&T?

"I love AT&T... I love the people at AT&T."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Work for AT&T... don't work for a contracting company that works for AT&T (especially Farley), unless they get rid of the manager they have. So unless you are single without children, or a man either who doesn't have children or doesn't care about having to choose a job over your child, don't work for them."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"There were some people who weren't pleasant to work with. But I could deal with them, because most of the people that I worked with were. My boss was not great. He and I had a horrible relationship that blew up at the end."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get new management (middle management)... with contractors. I worked for a man who told me that I had to choose between my job and my child. That wasn't at AT&T, it was at Farley Technologies, a company that contracted to work with AT&T. I would suggest not to hire Farley back, or for Farley to get a new manager."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"The back office and support people were frustrated and ineffective due to the fragmented nature of the corporation."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Eliminate catch phrases. The company needs to unify its operations and become seamless in function."

What do you like about working at AT&T?

"I work at the research branch of AT&T Labs, where the atmosphere is generally relaxed and focused on R&D (as opposed to corporate red tape)."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It is extremely difficult to transition from contractor to employee status. Most of the real development is done by contractors, with occasionally insightful architecture diagrams drifting down from a handful of employee developers. Projects are guarded jealously, so lateral transitions are also difficult to arrange."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"AT&T is far too big for its own good. Corporate policies are usually tedious in the best case and more often disastrous. Thankfully, since we are Research, we rarely have to deal directly with these issues."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep your nose out of matters you don't understand and leave us to our work. Decrease meeting frequency and institute a requirement that all upper-level employees must hold advanced degrees in an engineering discipline."

"I liked the people I worked with and how much I got paid."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The money is great, so if you can put up with the middle school environment, then so be it. In my opinion, the stress that comes from the company itself (not from the customers) isn't worth it."
