"ATT Services, Atlanta, GA Senior-Advanced Technical Support (1999 – 2019) Advanced Technical Support (1996-1999) Managed team of 8 and cross-functional teams to complete multiple concurrent projects meeting long-term and short-term objectives. Coordinated and delegated all Bellsouth's SS7 network including STP’s, SCP’s and SN’s. Streamlined vendor management process. Formulated strategies as SS7 signaling subject matter expert. Created, identified, scrutinized, improved, and streamlined complex work process including SOPs and documentation. • Led team of 15 cross-functional teams and engineers to configure network resulting in $50M in savings. • Chaired Customer Advisory Council for Alcatel USA, leading to increase efficiency in vendor meeting customer needs, through technical review of equipment, along with joint testing to insure minimal defects. • Supervised execution of Advanced Technical Support for SS7/STP Network, delivered 30-minute resolution affecting service issues, avoiding FCC reportable fines and exceeding client expectations."

"AT&T offers good pay, especially when you get into a lot of overtime."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The interview process at AT&T is standard. You have to take a series of tests to even be considered for the job openings. If you pass all of them, hiring is almost automatic."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"You work by yourself most of the time, because if you do a good job, the boss(es) leave you alone."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Listen to the people (us) that actually do the work. There's nothing worse than taking orders from someone who has never done our job and has no clue what he's talking about."

"I liked the people I worked with and how much I got paid."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The money is great, so if you can put up with the middle school environment, then so be it. In my opinion, the stress that comes from the company itself (not from the customers) isn't worth it."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"I didn't like the company or the direction it is taking. AT&T was solely worried about money, rather than about the people who earn it for them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop the favoritism! I went through 4 managers while I was there, and only one of them was worth my time. She got promoted, and rightfully so."
