"I enjoyed working in IBM immensely, most if not all of the senior level employees, team leaders and managers were very easy to work with, not to mention the other interns. The laboratory location was a bit out of the way and I didn't feel very safe living in Lowell (city nearby), which added an unnecessary amount of stress. I felt like my work was very appreciated and my efforts were recognized."
"IBM is the largest IT organisation in the world. The organisation has a completely open work culture with complete trust and flexibility for the employees. The focus on enhancing the domain knowledge of employees and the enormous amount of information available on the intranet provide opportunities to learn besides carrying out the day to day activities."
"I have worked with IBM, for almost 2 years. I have observed one thing in this company and that is the growth in terms of knowledge."
"I've worked with IBM in the Systems and Technology Group for mid-range servers (Power Systems servers) for over five and a half years. I love the work environment and my co-workers, and the team I'm currently on is very unique in what we do (there is only a single Global Systems Integration team for all of the IBM server lines). I enjoy the flexibility and comfort I feel at work, and how everyone enjoys there job and works well together."
"Big company = Big bureaucracy."
"I have worked for IBM as contractor for over 5 years. In the current position of Kernel Development Support, I have worked for 2+ years. It's a very good place to work on Unix kernel and work with customers. However I am better suited for development role and since our division is getting outsourced, looking for employment in this group."
"I really enjoyed my time working for IBM Ireland Ltd. I felt that there were always plenty of opportunities to grow/advance my career. IBM really is the type company that it is up to the individual to work hard and get what they want from the company. IBM rewards its top performers well. The only reason I left the company because I wanted to relocate my family back to the USA, otherwise I would have remained with the company."
"I have been in customer service positions for the past 5 years. I have spent about one year in technical advising. Also, one year in account management as a large volume scheduler. I have also worked at Macy's for two years utilizing a POS system. I have gained much knowledge in these fields over the past years that has helped me in this job."
"I have worked for IBM for more than 5 years. It's a good place to work."
"I worked at IBM as an intern student from May 2012 to September 2012. IBM has relative competitive intern salary in Canada, and good working environment."
"What I tell people about IBM is that it is a good company to retire from, perhaps not the best company to start a career with. IBM feels like a company too big for its own good. Amazing technology, amazing services, terrible alignment. I started at IBM as an MBA hire a little later, but I had considerable experience in management and technology. Despite this, I feel like my direct supervisor held me back."
"I worked for IBM US as an Intern and was sent to India. And it was an excellent exposure."
