"IBM is a large company that has the customers needs first and everything else second. They used to treat their employees as valuable assets. Over the past decade, things have changed considerably and employees are treated more like names on a spreadsheet and not as individuals anymore."
"I worked for IBM in the year of 2017 to 2018. I find the company extremely employee friendly and very comfortable. The supervisors and lead technicians are extremely helpful and if that isn't enough you have a very useful knowledge base at your fingertips. The company has several benefits and loads of team building events and get togethers to assure everyone is well acquainted with one another."
"Great company to work for. I loved my time there."
"I worked for IBM for 16 years. My last position within the Accounts Receivable team was challenging and sometimes rewarding. One of the major downfalls were some of the outdated tools that we used to perform AR duties. I was a part of the best AR team within IBM "Atlanta". The Atlanta center was the absolute best at $$$ collections. Our team was a great team. Nothing like working with a group of individuals that know how to be great teamers. Great managers and peers. IBM overall lost the best of the best when they decided to outsource all of our positions in March 2014. I believe we would all be a great gain/employees for any other company."
"I really enjoyed being part of migration team. I really left good impression with PMs."

"I have worked for IBM for approximately 7 years until the most recent layoff. Great company for jump starting your career. Best recommendation is to take advantage of as much trainings as possible, build skills advance, grow, develop and plan to move on. Excellent company to grow within however politics and large corporate policies which prohibit growth can be a dissuading factor to staying for the long term."
"I have worked for IBM on three separate occasions. There is no single IBM experience. IBM is a massive company, with contracts and offices around the world, and the experience you have as a person working one of those contracts will be largely determined by the vendor. Generally, I have found working for them a good experience, but the potential for the vendor to change directions is a definite potential negative."
"I'm IBM former employee. IBM is great company, but very huge and slow company with old process."
"In the years I worked at IBM, the company continued its death spiral. The working environment is so bad IBM has never made a Best Places to Work list. It never will. No loyalty from management down and none expected from employees up. Pay OK, benefits declining, retirement not hopeful."
"IBM today is not the IBM of 2003, certainly not the IBM of a generation ago. Have you ever seen IBM on a Best Places To Work list No, and there's a reason. Gone is respect for the individual. No longer is experience valued. There is no loyalty up from employees or down from management. Cutting labor costs gained IBM some temporary advantage, but that's now disappeared. Work there for a few years, build your resume, then move on."
