"with three people in our department, everyone should know how to do each others job an I am the only one who can do it all when the others dont care to learn"

"I would have a better long term vision of the company instead of planning one year in advance."

"I like how easy the work is to do, and the management."

"Be smart and don't sell yourself short. Always strive to stand out."

"The ability to move your scheduling around is not so great. They say they will work with school schedules but it's nonexistent."

"Depending on the individual, have rewards for doing above average work."

"The people are really nice. I'm getting better at some aspects of my job."

"Make sure that this is what you want to do and take a lot of holidays off before you start."
What don't you like about working at Parker Hannifin?
"I have no idea what I'm doing. Some of the people there are really arrogant. A lot of people are under crazy amounts of stress. There are no creative outlets. There's not a lot of collaboration between my coworkers and I on projects. Everyone eats lunch at their desks."

"Make things more streamlined, more comfortable, change the damn music. Get better training and process information."

"The feeling of satisfaction you get when you feel that you really helped out a customer that you spoke with over the phone."

"Leave right away. This is not a company you want to work for."

"Piece rate pay is ineffective way of paying employees. During my time there, they changed the structure of the pay, causing me to lose over $2.00 an hour for doing the same work at the same pace and quality which I was achieving beforehand. To add to this, they did not even inform me that this was going to be change; I only found out after getting a paycheck (less than minimum wage, mind you), and asking the front secretary of our building."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Crack down on supervisors who spend more time talking and goofing around with each other than helping agents who have questions and need help in a timely fashion."
What do you like about working at Grainger Industrial Supply?
"They provide a nice facility with a medical clinic and fitness center. Dress is business casual."

"Make sure you are applying for a position at roughly the level you want to be, because you wont be going anywher for a long long time"

"I have work freedom because there is little oversight. Very few objective standards are communicated. The review process is mystifying and provides little guidance on how I can improve to move forward. It seems like we do annual reviews to make management feel good that they are listening and to limit our merit raises, which are lower than the cost of living...despite the fact I had a high score relative to the team I am on."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Management here has become quite disconnected with the rank and file. I would more visible."

"The people working here are all stuck in the same situation, so everyone at least attempts to make things interesting"

"spend more time networking than you spend actually being good at your job, and never miss more than 1 day unexpectedly in a two year span if you actually want to move up in the company"

"People on the lower level jobs are treated by their numbers, not like human beings with potential"

"Focus on improving the morale of employees, reduce turnover and hire more from within"

"It's easy and it pays decent for the work that you put in."

"I would say plan to either move up soon or don't accept the job. Customer service will be the end of you."

"It is still a new company and they don't have all the kinks workout out yet."

"Probably not to much since Ryan seems to be doing just fine."

"Talking to a lot different people. It really is a team effort when it comes to running the business"

"This is a good company to work for. The problem is that the perks and pay is all at the GM position."

"I have many superiors. When something is done wrong, they all come tell me. I am micromanaged by the GM. Company culture does not allow me to take vacation or sick days when I want or need them."

"Nothing at all. They have a great business model. The problem is the people they put in chardge"

"There were some hot chicks there, nice to look at, and some nice people to make friends with."

"TURN AWAY NOW! Call center of DOOM! The Participants are retarded!"

"Big brother is ALWAYS WATCHING, stats must meet quota!! They're always talking about stats, I hate being constantly monitored like some lab rat!"

"Not have every entry-level people start in the call canter, that place is a death trap."

"Verizon measured every aspect of every call and essentially micromanaged individual call management."
