"I have worked for HP from 2011 to 2012. This is a new position with responsibilities that I had never performed before. I learned the skills quickly and adapted to the new environment; which enabled me to be productive in a very short time. HP is a great employer because they provide the necessary training for the job. Managers, although demand much, are experts in their fields and are very available to help the staffs they supervise. I respect them very much."
"I've worked at HP for a number of years now, as a contractor in this latest stint, but previously, as a full-time employee. The culture at HP has changed over time. I remember it as a friendly, congenial atmosphere, rather like one big, happy family. At present, the company is still interested in hiring the best and brightest recent graduates, which I admire. But the willingness to separate and compartmentalize important product development functions may hurt them in the end."
"Hewlett Packard is a good company to work for."
"I've worked for HP for 3 years now. The first time I was with HP I was let go because a supervisor didn't do the appropriate paperwork to move me over to a new job. Due to a loss of contract I was informed that I would lose my job 4 days before the contract was terminated. It took some creative work and time on my supervisors part to get me the raise for my new position (1 full year)."
"Excellent to place to work and lots of resource to learn and grow within the company"
"Great company but lacks, when it comes to pay the deserved compensation."
"The company does not care about any of its employees, you are just a cost center. Quite often you were asked to do impossible tasks ( i.e. I need to mentor others in my team, I was the only person in my team ). Unpleasant middle management who just wanted to get the ticks in the box."
"Only worry about what we can get from company, as a java developer do not care about going up and down. As soon as they lose business they are going to fire you, they are not doing charity!!"
"HP is a great company with a lot of opportunity."
"I have been employed by Hewlett Packard since April of 2008. The organization that I work for is stable. The company currently has a work force of roughly 240,000 employees. We receive a yearly bonus, 401k employer match benefits program, and a few other perks. I love being a hardware design engineer and the work I do on a daily basis is pretty challenging."
"I've worked to Hewlett Packard from Jun/2010 to Sep/2013. It was a good time that I spent there, lots of challenges and important projects implemented. I got in touch with good methodologies, tools and technologies."
"I've worked for HP since 2008. Very good company."
"The experience I had as a unix programmer was overwhelming and helped me at my personal experience and growth as a professional engineer."
"I worked as a contractor for HP for 2 years."
"I've worked for Hewlett-Packard for almost a year and my favorite about the company is the willingness of everyone to help each other out with the different issues and the kindness of all the management to work with all of the employees' schedules and requests. With a company this big, it is easy to become dry and uninterested in everyday tasks and conversations, but this company has done a great job of implementing workplace activities that keep all the employees involved."
