"I've worked at HP for a number of years now, as a contractor in this latest stint, but previously, as a full-time employee.The culture at HP has changed over time. I remember it as a friendly, congenial atmosphere, rather like one big, happy family.At present, the company is still interested in hiring the best and brightest recent graduates, which I admire. But the willingness to separate and compartmentalize important product development functions may hurt them in the end."

"The contract I was hired to manage has not been executed, and has been delayed 4 times (6 mos.). I was promised a permanent position with 4 to 6 months and I am still a contract employee. Promises have been broken and I have had to expand the ability to work from home at considerable cost without compensation. While the staff I work with is great, full time remote employment is not what I sought."

On my current contract we are locked into the positions we were hired to do for five years, As a employee who has gained many certifications beyond what my job calls for, there is no room to grow or way to be compensated."
