"I would be less of a micro manager. I would care more about the people that wrok for me than what they can do for me and my own career."

"I get a regular paycheck. I work alongside a few competent, conversational peers."

"Seek clear statements from your hiring manager/interviewer about future opportunities that others have obtained in this same career. I was told many things about the ideals and mindset of the company in my first six months here that have yet to come to evidence themselves, let alone come to fruition."

What don't you like about working at Hewlett-Packard?

"There is no motivation to excel, as there is no room for growth in this career. Nobody above me focuses on presenting realistic obtainable paths to growth within the company, instead giving employees the impression HP is a conglomerate that is too overwhelming to comprehend the various business units, job opportunities within those units, or even what the company's M.O. actually is."

"Deliver a message of priority toward the HP workforce instead of an obvious priority toward their shareholders and bottom line."

"I like that I am gaining experience in troubleshooting and stable work history."

"Let's start with everything and work our way out. 1. They constantly request us to work OT on the weekends but make it impossible to use the comp time accrued from the work. 2. The particular office work for, may or may not have some age discrimination. 3. The benefits are ridiculous for the field and the salaries don't inspire a high work ethic."

"Managers should lead by example. If you require a strong work ethic and due diligence, then you should possess a strong work ethic and do your own due diligence."
