"I would suggest that anyone interviewing be flexible because most of the opportunities required travel."

"The job was contractual and every five years your contract was up for bid, thus creating a lot of insecurity regarding your career."

"The training was limited to only one course during the year. If there have been more opportunities to attend seminars I believe the employee would benefit and the company."

"Great people. Most work contracted out to government support, so fulfilling to support defense missions."

"They emphasize cooperative attitude. Many of our government masters are, um, interesting."

"Commute to El Segundo. I worked there 20 years, enjoyed it all."

"Hire Dave back. (We didn't have enough contracts due to government going broke.)"

"I cannot think of any reason, this has been a great company to work for."

"To continue doing what they do best, for their customers, employees, etc."

"Pay that keeps up with industry standard and good flex time benefit."

"Really express your ability to work well with people. It can be difficult working for the navy."

What don't you like about working at General Dynamics?

"Too little work for too many engineers. I consistently spend half my week at my desk doing enrichment training I may never use. My manager is so busy he never has time to work with me in terms of career development. I have no idea where my career is headed. In addition no one trusts me enough to help them with the projects they're working on. The office is either too hot or too cold with no windows. My coworkers feel the need to attack me every time I make a mistake rather than focusing on the problem. I have to punch a clock as a salaried employee. if I punch out 6 minutes early I get charged vacation time and do not have opportunity to make it up. I have a 20 minute walk from my car to my desk every day."

"Adjust the vacation policy and fix the park issues facing the company."

"Learning and exploring new ideas, knowing exactly what has to be done."

"Please explain clearly your objective, Let the interviewer know what your skills are and what you are capable of dong and not doing."

"Administrative or technical arrogance. Leaders insult employees without reason. Short tempered and impatient coworkers."

"Listen to us and we will perform our best. Communication and direction will always help the project go smoothly."

"Interesting embedded software work for satellites. Freedom to reinvent wheel; not overloaded with COTS software."
