"It wa a great company with a huge market share, a lot of opportunity within GDIT to move around to different positions. Job security."

"Be yourself, be sure not to lie about your technical abilities, be truthful."

What don't you like about working at General Dynamics?

"Working for an Indian manager that did not understand interpersonal communications or the American culture."

"Understand how Americn business does business and understand interpersonal communication and how to express your thoughts in a coherant manner."

"I dislike that promotions seem to come very slow, and hard work is not fully acknowledged."

"Have patience, they are slow to return telephone calls or emails after the interview process."

"Management and career advancement opportunities."

"Listen to your employees, your government POC is not always right. Have faith that you hired the right person for the position."

"Did not like it, many staff members let go, no training or new employee orientation. Overreach in a huge way as to the responsibilities were on a technical level, and duties assigned to people with the wrong skillset, (A PhD for animals assigned to the full scope of web design and development - not the Web Designer) With that said it is a Gov. Contract for the military and GDIT does not have say as to who gets assigned to do what."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Know who is directly responsible for you and what your responsibilities are, and if there is no Project Manager who understands your position, DO NOT BOTHER. And do not come on to a contract at the end of a contract cycle."

What don't you like about working at General Dynamics?

"Scared to ruffle feathers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Don't just stick someone in a position without a supervisor or Project Manager. Know what the position is AND WHERE IT IS GOING, and ensure the management understands the position and its responsibilities."
