"Really express your ability to work well with people. It can be difficult working for the navy."

What don't you like about working at General Dynamics?

"Too little work for too many engineers. I consistently spend half my week at my desk doing enrichment training I may never use. My manager is so busy he never has time to work with me in terms of career development. I have no idea where my career is headed. In addition no one trusts me enough to help them with the projects they're working on. The office is either too hot or too cold with no windows. My coworkers feel the need to attack me every time I make a mistake rather than focusing on the problem. I have to punch a clock as a salaried employee. if I punch out 6 minutes early I get charged vacation time and do not have opportunity to make it up. I have a 20 minute walk from my car to my desk every day."

"Adjust the vacation policy and fix the park issues facing the company."

"Pay, big company, lots of opportunity to work on different projects."

"Be prepared to move slowly and work with old processes and technologies."

"Resistance to change and lack of qualified workers, also management doesn't relate to reality."

"Innovation and openness of ideas, make sure to bridge gap between employees and management."

"If you want to work here for the rest of your life, take the job."

"There really isn't much room for creativity, they discourage it. They have a system that has worked for a hundred years and they don't want to change."

"I would make sure my employees are happy enough to do the work they were hired to do."

"I really enjoy working with all of my coworkers everyday."

"Make sure that the work ethic of the group you are interviewing for matches yours. They differ greatly across the company. If it doesn't fit try and find a group that does."

"The people put in charge of innovation cannot even spell it."

"Create a more collaborative, result focused work environment where doing the right thing for the right reason is always at the forefront."

"Good fellow employees. Interesting work. The environment is pretty clean for a shipbuilding environment."

"Ask about benefits and your classification. They have classified some of the new hires within the last 18 months differently. They do not provide the same PTO or tuition reimbursement as listed on the website and other documents."

"Client does not work very well with us concerning testing. No real opportunities there."

"Work with client management concerning lack of support. Their success depends on it."
