"I would suggest that anyone interviewing be flexible because most of the opportunities required travel."

What don't you like about working at General Dynamics?

"The job was contractual and every five years your contract was up for bid, thus creating a lot of insecurity regarding your career."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The training was limited to only one course during the year. If there have been more opportunities to attend seminars I believe the employee would benefit and the company."

"The people are really great. The actual offices are really nice."

"Understand that the company is very stressed right now and that positivity and prospects are not fantastic motivation."

"The management style and the lack or process or people wanting to improve themselves or the program."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would have a more motivated, inspiring work culture. The company is all about money and not recognizing the employees does not help innovate or drive people to be better."

"I enjoyed the management and the opportunities I had to work on state of the art advancing technology."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Make sure you're being offered a position on a contract that has already being awarded and that you're not working contingent upon a program that may or may not be won."

What don't you like about working at General Dynamics?

"I was submitted for my 5 year update on my clearances. I came in with active TS+ a CI Poly but I was never briefed. After 18 months and GD not succeeding in winning two major programs GD was pursuing, I was part of a RIF. This was a very short career opportunity, and I was hoping for more longevity."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be upfront to employees and let them know that the position you have just been offered is contingent upon winning one or more contracts."
