"I love the excitement of being in technology. There is a constant learning curve and there's always change! Being an Account Executive allows me to work with many different people, both externally and internally, which I enjoy very much. I also am money driven, so sales is a great place for me to be!"

"Horrifying."

What do you like about working at LeaderPromos.com?

"There is not a single positive word that you can say about this environment."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do not interview with this company under any circumstances. They will lie to you about the rate of pay, benefits and career progression. Next thing you know you'll be trapped in this dump! You're better off not going to the interview."

What don't you like about working at LeaderPromos.com?

"Low pay, poor training and direction. It seems the sole purpose of this place is to enrich the owner of the company. Most of management are pawns in that goal. Many of the more senior people are incredibly arrogant and pompous. The role models in this company are either unprofessional, lazy or ridiculous. The attrition rate is unbelievable because neither the staff nor managers know what they're doing. There are NO ETHICS in this company philosophy; and the pay structure is designed so that nobody can achieve a living wage. If people start making too much they change the pay structure."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Lead by example. Everybody wants to talk about philosophy and direction, but they can't think of a better way to express it than by plugging some numbers into an excel document. Any college Freshman knows that data can be manipulated in any way that you like. If I see another excel spreadsheet I'm going to get sick."

Account Executive at Optomi

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"I love my job and the company I represent!"

What do you like about working at Optomi?

"From company culture to technology, OptomI has proven to create an environment for it's employees that is rarely seen in any company let alone a staffing one. The company sponsors several charity events throughout the year and rewards employees' success with charity donations as well as individual monetary awards. Contests with rewards like paid time off, company award trips for top producers to the best hotels in the world, Mac laptops for optimum mobility... the leadership has thought of everything. And it makes for a productive and positive work environment.I chose to work at OptomI because I wanted to be a part of the change they are spearheading in the IT staffing industry and to be part of the growth. OptomI is hands down the best company I've ever worked for. The company culture is genuinely fantastic. The people are passionate and dedicated. I love my job and the company I represent!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Make sure you are dedicated to being successful. Management is looking for people who want to use OptomI to make a difference in the staffing industry."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None - OptomI has fantastic open-minded leaders and anyone would be happy in this company."

"I love the variety of people and projects I got to work with and on daily, so the job never felt repetitive. I also enjoyed playing a real leadership role in the agency, one which was highly visible and had constantly increasing responsibilities, as my clients roles/responsibilities increased, which made for an interesting and dynamic work environment where new skills were developed daily."

Account Executive at Apptricity
in Irving, TX

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Motivation consists solely of screaming and threatening jobs."

What do you like about working at Apptricity?

"The free coffee, the view and the fellow employees. Absolutely nothing else."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you read the short this company is a wonderful place to be, it is generally written by either the CEO or requested by him to his staff."

What don't you like about working at Apptricity?

"As a recent reviewer stated, management is completely inconsistent and there isn't any stability within the organiization as to what direction the company is going in. Strategies are always changing on a whim. I've seen some people there have incredible talent but not be recognized by management and be completely underutilized. You can expect to have your office moved frequently and when you try to get feedback from the CEO or middle managers to make sure you are doing your job right, you will not get it. But if the CEO doesn't like what you are doing, he has no issue screaming at you and humiliating you in front of your colleagues. Like the other reviewer said, he has a very authoritarian and demovitational style, which shows how poor his leadership skills are. It doesn't take much for the CEO to lose faith in you, and when he does you can never earn it back. Sales is the worst department to work in. Turnover is very high and reps are frequently subject to being yelled at without cause or for circumstances beyond their control. Some reps work hard and are helpful, while others are not held accountable or responsible for completing the full scope of their job. Instead of being held to the same standards as others, other team members are expected to jump in and pick up the slack and if they don't, they are blamed for the other rep's failures - all the while trying to get their own job done so the CEO doesn't yell at them. Those double standards lower morale and contrinute to the failure of the department."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Quit thinking that you will get rich."

Account Executive at Screenvision

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Not what I was expecting this job to be."

What do you like about working at Screenvision?

"It's in the movie industry, and you get to sell the 'sizzle' of Hollywood."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be prepared to make a lot of phone calls, or do a lot of door pulling. Expect a small paycheck the first 6 months of the job."

What don't you like about working at Screenvision?

"Micromanagement. Small base salary, no ramp up period. Bad internal communication between all management."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Better communication. You don't need to request daily reports. Pay your new employees a higher base the first year."

"I made a huge mistake working there, don't make the same"

What do you like about working at LeaderPromos.com?

"Place is horrible, people just walk around like zombies because atmosphere is so toxic."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"DO NOT WORK HERE, the turnover rate is unbelievable. They go through so many reps and have such a bad reputation they will tell you anything to fill the seats. If they tell you there is no turnover they are lying, they will also be very vague about what the pay is. They are always working on a new commission structure or say you could earn but never actually tell you what the plan is. Also they have been sued so many times all employees are forced to sign a waiver giving up their right to sue them for ANY reason. Any disputes are handled by a mediator that is of course hired by leaderpromos."

What don't you like about working at LeaderPromos.com?

"As a sales executive you will need to be skilled at multi-tasking, handling inefficient and highly unorganized processes, great at going with the flow and pretending to not see what you know you see going on."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Plan on several weekly meetings, low pay for a highly demanding sales position where selling more is not always a good thing. At leaderpromos the more you sell the more back office work you do. This includes data entry, marketing, customer support, billing basically everything but actually selling. Any mistake or problem usually leads to the company not paying what little commission the rep is due on an order."

Account Executive at Blackbaud
in Charleston, SC

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Loved job & people. Hated the OCD managerial style. Ethical values took their toll."

What do you like about working at Blackbaud?

"I enjoyed, for the most part, the high level of independence that was portrayed during my first half of employment there. I also enjoyed working with numerous Non-profits dealing with all types of social issues."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It's a great company, but beware - you are simply a conduit for them. You take money from nonprofits and give it to the company so it looks good on the quarterly report, ultimately keeping the shareholders (aka parasites) happy. If you aren't answering emails or calls on the weekend or late at night you will receive some type of discussion. Be wary of management - even if you are 100% of your quota they will not be satisfied and if thy are not satisfied with you achieving the goals that you both agreed upon - you will be shown the exit. There is a reason BB has such a high turn-over rate."

What don't you like about working at Blackbaud?

"Blackbaud has a very complex internal structure when dealing with the sales process. There are multiple sales teams (RE Inside, RE Outside, AAM's who sell training for their AE, enterprise sales, Target Analytics - ect). Everyone has the same client base that they call. So clients might get 3 or 4 calls from a BB sales rep in 1 day. And sales reps have no loyalty to anyone else but themselves to ensure they hit their quota."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"1- Train your people to be experts in the products they sell 2- BB is in place to help NonProfits grow - embrace that! Instead of receiving payments from your clients for a product or service that they don't use, or (in many cases didn't know they had) accept that while you may lose some revenue because of the cancelation of a product or service - you are helping that organization and will be seen as a caring advisor, not just a bill collector.3- INNOVATE! Expediting the creation and implementation of new products and services is crucial! Be the market leader you claim to be and develop new products. Don't just buy a small company that has developed a new product and consider that product development4- LOSE THE STACK RANKING SYSTEM! Microsoft uses the same employee review system and look what has happened to them!5- TEACH MANAGERS HOW TO MANAGE! Just because an individual was great in a sales position does NOT mean they will be a successful manager. It is very difficult to teach someone to be a good manager. A Manager is a leader, which comes naturally for certain people. You can't teach a short person to be tall... they either have it or they don't."

"Overall a bad experience."

What do you like about working at Adams Outdoor Advertising?

"I liked the first month working here. The thrill of being in adveritising is intoxicating"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Smile and walk away. I have seen some amazing people ruined by this company."

What don't you like about working at Adams Outdoor Advertising?

"The toxic environment made it hard to be motivated, creative or even feel valuable. People there did not trust each other, the constant turnover had people turning each other in over the smallest infractions. The boss was a bully who made grown men cry with her meanness."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop hiring psychopaths to run your offices, stop firing so many people so often. It does not discourage complacency like you think it does, but rather makes people never feel safe in their own position."

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"It was a good organization that sold good solutions, but since merger, it's bad"

What do you like about working at Aptean?

"I don't like anything about working at Aptean. My co-workers are great, but due to unneccessary processes in place, it's next to impossible for our customers to do business with us"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would not even bother interviewing. This company is terrible."

What don't you like about working at Aptean?

"I don't like working at Aptean at all. The only saving grace is co-workers who are great to work with. But everyone is looking for a new job!"

Account Executive at Arcadia Home Care & Staffing
in Kalamazoo, MI

What do you like about working at Arcadia Home Care & Staffing?

"Most work can be done from a home office, or on the road. It breaks up the exhausting daily routine of rush hour, work, and rush hour. Account executives can create their own schedules that accommodate their lives."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The interview process is excessively long. Questions on their test ask if you enjoy assembling furniture. Im applying for a sales position, why does my knowledge on assembling IKEA have anything to do with this position The interview process is a series of pointless tests, followed by 3 phone interviews, and 2 in person interviews. You could have a position at a competing company by the month long process of interviews Arcadia uses."

What don't you like about working at Arcadia Home Care & Staffing?

"Senior management is poor, and the company lacks cohesiveness and consistency. No two senior level managers have the same policy on important topics. It can be confusing when seeking guidance. Senior level management fails to gain the respect of the employees. There has been variety of scandals in the company involving the senior management. It is hard to trust the companys leaders."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest that they plan away to manage the company as a team. They all must be on the same page, and manage using the same policies. Once they can successfully manage in a cohesive and consistent way the company and employees can do great things together. Also, they should never slander employees."

What don't you like about working at Prestige Acquisitions?

"I dont have my own office yet, I will soon though :)"
