"This was a direct private sector GS position with the Department of Defense. It does require a clearance so make sure you have the ability to obtain and hold a security clearance."

"I was able to learn about my position, and although I was ready to take a followers position, my ideas where not looked at because of my pay grade. Also, information was hoarded and never shared; limiting the possibility of innovating the team's ideas."

"Communication is key when working as a team. Therefore, make sure to keep all key positions informed to accomplish their mission."

"This was also a requirement in the Army and there will be places you might like but might also take you away from your family. Although, enlisting is very honorable, be ready to sacrifice that time when needed."

"The location was ok, but since it was out of country, I wasn't able to visit my daughter as often as I wanted."

"Allow more frequent trips home to spend time with family."

"Was given the unique responsibility to work for a special group in Iraq. There I had the most experience in my position than I ever had in my 6 years of SIGINT experience. I was also able to learn more about other positions and became a subject matter expert in the entire fusion cell."

"Interviewing is easy if you don't have a criminal record and if you are in good physical and mental shape. Taking the AVAB test will determine your eligibility for positions open in the Army. I was fortunate to make a high score and chose to be a SIGINT analyst."

"The benefits where astonishing and the expectations of your work ethic were great. Being challenged in a positive manner was also a great bonus."

"My suggestions for management is simply to continue allowing personnel to train in various positions to help understand how everything fits together."

"I don't like where the Army is going, at least in the intelligence field. People that are getting promoted have no business being in charge of anyone."

"Make it harder to promote, make it more based off job and actual leadership abilities, not how fast you can run your 2 mile."
