"Coming into corporate “off the street”, having worked at other companies, the culture, support and career opportunities are pretty dismal, especially now during transformation. They can’t keep millennials, and have strong favoritism for people from operations and lifers at the organization. Experiences differ by group, but some groups are extremely toxic with very old-school, beat you with a stick mentality. Everyone is just a number, and easily replaced, and most roles involve endless PowerPoint decks and spreadsheet reviews. I’ve never worked at a place that wasted so many hours focused on minutia that has no value to the corporation or customers. It’s endless busy work. It may be good on the operations side, but the culture change that the new CEO talks about has yet to precipitate through the organization, and there are many people in leadership roles that are just awful, and no nothing if leadership. Unions, large percentage of salary paid in MIP and pensions promote mediocrity and many miserable people with golden handcuffs. There is very little true innovation, ideas s add bd input are not only undervalued, but often discouraged, and you are treated as a robot that is expected to have no emotions and no life. Be very careful which group you join."
"Best company to work with"
"a good place to work. I did some impact on the team."
"UPS is a great company to work for and it's team oriented"
"Good working environment!"
"Great benefits and job security."
"I have worked for UPS since 2018. I have found that the company is very stable and is founded on good ethical values. There is also good opportunities to move around and work in multiple facets of the company. My department, BIA, is fantastic to work in and I highly recommend it. They have provided me with valuable tools I can use in my future as well as lifelong friends."
"I work for Nomad rides and have been involved with it since its founding back in 2017. I have always operated at an executive level with the company as my best friend is the CEO. I was acting as his advisor while I was working with UPS, but then he asked me to help hom get his company into the Y Combinator, and he would pay me in equity. I accepted and helped get his company in by developing the presentation, financial analysis, projections, and strategy. Eventually, I left when he asked me to start the first round of funding and try to bring in more money. Now, we do ont need anymore funding and I have hired two people to do my day to day activities. So I was fazed out of my own job by my choice. So i am still employed by them but I am looking for my lifelong career job."
"I've been employed at UPS for two years. It has been an up and down experience. Long hours and hard work with a not so friendly work environment."
"Great people and the environment is awesome."
"I worked for UPS 23 years ago in Zurich Switzerland, and I am proud to work for same company here in North Africa."
"Working for UPS was a rather pleasant experience; the majority of the work allowed me to gain experience in an extremely fast-paced and productive environment. As an an on call worker, it was quite stressful to be ready to go at any time during the majority of the day, but I was well compensated in return."
"UPS is a good company working with the automation group was a great exprensce"
"I started with UPS in 2016 as an admin in the Customs Brokerage department. Upon completing my graduate-level education I was able to gain experience in District Finance, Small Package Operations, and now Global Procurement. I have enjoyed all the skills and experience I have been able to obtain in such a short amount of time. The company is a great place for people to begin and end their careers as many employees have worked with the company for a very long time (25 years +)."
"I have worked for UPS For over 5 years now and I have learned great things about the logistics/transportation world. I have been corporate leadership trained, have obtained my CDL, numerous management courses and have learned all about the company from warehouse to delivery to corporate."
