"I worked for Bank of America for many years, and I liked the company's culture, where they put employees first. Work-life balance was one of the great perks that the company was providing. The PTO is also very generous. The cons are that the default mortgage servicing line of the bank is going through workforce reduction. In my opinion, the bank of America is one of the best places to work."

"I worked for Bank of America for 4 years. The people, top to bottom, were fantastic. Bank makes a real effort to provide associate satisfaction and career growth opportunities; however, occasionally falls short (example: my division was redeployed and associates were locked into new positions for 1 year, regardless of experience level). Pay and benefits acceptable. Due to regulatory environment the bureaucracy was high. Add to that the bank has overlays, which prevent associates from providing customers with the level of service bank requires. Common sense rarely prevails."

"(1) Know what you can do and that that is indeed compatible with the expected tasks, etc. (2) Be proficient and personable."

"Working as a contractor/consultant, I had no real advancement opportunities."

"I would suggest that management revise--standardize--archaic and, often, inaccurate In Process Reason Descriptions."

"The training was very long, hours were 29 only."

"Better training, communication, supervisors should all be on the same page."

"Your co-workers cared very much and helped as much as possible and the difficulty of the work kept you alert and busy."

"This is a very structured and demanding corporate environment. Evaluate whether or not you can handle the pressure associated with that type of environment."

"They would analyze every detail but they wouldn't provide sufficient training and examples of the correct process."

"Management needs to provide more detailed training and spread the work load more efficiently."

"The company really seemed to care about their employees, not only within departments, but company-wide. There was a great cohesiveness in our department and we all worked very well together - no gossip or any issues."

"No, Countrywide Home Loans no longer exists."

"It was located quite a distance from my home, and the commute was a killer!"

"We were encouraged to make suggestions. I recommended that we start a group and meetings section of our department, and started it up."
