"I have worked for Walmart for 5+ years starting from a courtesy associate to a cashier and finally as a sales associate. The management was friendly and the staff was excellent. My time there has helped me with my social interactions and customer assistance, whether it is ringing them up through checkout or helping find a certain item."

"Was a decent place to work overall. good pay and benefits, bad overall work, but the pay was good enough. it always seemed as though they were constantly updating policies though to make it harder on senior employees to be able to keep up. HIGH turnover rate"

"I have worked at Walmart part time since March. It has been hectic since the pandemic but I love the fast pace and the relationship with the customers and my coworkers"

"Working for Walmart wasn't a bad job for a person just getting started in the working field. I have met great people and the overnight work environment wasn't bad. They accommodated my school schedule, which was the most important part for me working there. The management on the other hand was different. While some of the management wasn't bad, which some of them are great people and actually care, the vast majority of them didn't. Most of the managers were out for themselves, and would throw other managers under the bus for things the ones accusing did, or in most cases, didn't do. There was major favoritism with most of them, allowing some people get away with not working, and others, those who were doing their job would get neglected. I would say working at Walmart is not something someone should look to for a life long career, but it is a good foot in the door for those looking to get started in for working. I would also say that if you do plan on working at Walmart for the rest of your working life, try and strive to work in the higher up portions like management."

"The personal shopping lane is new (for Walmart as well as other retailers) in the last few years. Business has picked up due to the pandemic. The idea is great! Unfortunately the approach isn't always thought out and over half the staff is new and not trained as well as they should be. Management also had different ideas of how to run things and communication isn't the best."

"Unrealistic expectations were held for the lowest paid positions to complete tasks, these tasks required enough people to complete and we were often understaffed. Management would tell us to ask for help and would not have anyone to spare or would take until the last possible minute to help, which left us scrambling at the end of the night/shift. Management also had the ability to lessen the work load for the day due to lack of staff available but choose to rather have high numbers and low scores on reviews. This further pushed me and my coworkers into unnecessarily stressful and draining situations that could have been solved if they saw their staff struggling to keep up and skipping breaks just to complete the tasks."

"I've worked for WalMart for six years. Within my first four years it was the best job I have ever had. When I got promoted with a change of leadership I started being mistreated. It was awful going to work everyday but the money and benefits was keeping my family whole. Eventually my boss finally had opportunity to cut his team and bring his own people in."

"From the second I was hired as a Walmart Associate, I was under compensated for my contributions. I was not appreciated for the work that I had done, despite improving our National Inventory Ranking to #1 in only 2 months of working there. Management would "punish" employees by cutting their hours, only to leave the hardworking and good employees on the schedule and understaffed during shifts. In turn, it was almost as if Walmart was punishing their good employees while rewarding the lazy associates with extra time off."
