1.9Be fair, be consistent, TRAIN associates of all levels. Department managers especially. There is no actual training for department managers. If the company has one, it is not being used. Competitors in our area spend four to six weeks training their department managers BEFORE they step foot in the department. At Walmart, it's sink or swim. If a department manager is lucky, he or she will be bright enough to catch on or has friends in other departments willing to take time to help out. Stop being vindictive and using the coaching policy to coach people you do not like out of a job. TRAIN assistant managers on people skills-communication skills-workplace psychology. It will create a better work place. Stop constantly thinking what the investors want. Include what is best for associates and customers too. Also, you ask your associates to go above and beyond. Reward them with benefits that go above and beyond. Stop only offering competitive benefits that mirror what other retailers offer. If associates feel valued and have great benefits, they will work that much harder.

1Awful awful awful! I was employed there for 8 months. I ended up having to leave like most people did in the deli/bakery. The only few that were left were the trouble. The severe bullying, lying, back stabbing, drama, the treats....there was an associate who did all this and was bf with our dept. manager. This associate was reported on countless times, and nothing was done about any of it because not only were they buddies, but the dept. manager was with the actual store manager. That right there is against Walmart policy. They were keeping things quiet so corporate didn’t find out about their relationship. So several associates kept turning in this one very mean, vile, vulgar associate, and they were also turning in our dept manager. Nothing was EVER done to fix the situation. Associates who were making the complaints began quitting, transferring out. They were dropping like flies!Again this was all brought to management but nothing was done.Contacted corporate, they ignored it! Finally after this Associate had made her way thru our entire team, taking everyone down one by one, it was then my turn to feel her wrath. She sabotaged all my duties, tasks, I was bullied, my life was threatened on a daily basis.I never did anything to bring this on.I just went to work, did my job.I was targeted because this women targeted everyone, one by one.She lived to torture. Never in my life, and I am an older women, have I EVER seen such conspiracy, such negativity, such drama, and SO MUCH BULLYING!Please don’t ever work for the North side Walmart in Sheboygan, WI on Vanguard Drive. That whole entire store is a complete mess, and your treated so badly. You will be bullied, verbally abused, have your life threatened, will not be appreciated by your peers, the pay for the amount of work you do is poor, and I just strongly advise you not to work at this store. I’ve now sought legal council, and thus far have a big case, with lots of evidence, and witnesses. PLEASE DONT EVER WORK THERE!
