"L-3 is or was a stable place to work until government spending was decreased. The pay was competitive and the projects were interesting."
"I have worked at L3 for 5 years. Good place to work."
"The team members are very smart and work mates are awesome. You will be challenged every day at work and seldom bored. Expect to work long hours as an employee. You will be asked to work over holiday weekends and not get paid for working them. Technically you will be paid for the holiday, but you will not be paid for the additional hours worked during the holiday week. 50+ hour weeks are common place."
"I have been employed by L-3 Communications Insight since 2012. I love the company, my manager, my colleagues. As a government contractor and huge government budget cuts, the company is experiencing hard times. I fear for my job security. Also, my career path is limited."
"I've worked at L-3 for 9 months and can already see why their retention rate for Network Engineers is nothing short of abysmal. The previous set of Engineers were all criminally underpaid and management ignored their complaints about the environment. I would not recommend working at L-3 to anyone."
"I've worked for L-3 since 1997. My latest promotion was granted in 2013, nine years since my last one... I have a great software manager who worked relentlessly for the past couple of years to get me my promotion. L-3 is a good company, but does not provide much growth for its employees."
"It was a great place to learn a lot."
"I started with a cmall company called Sencom supporting USSPACE. Then Sencom was purchased by Titan Corporation in 2001. After that L3 Purchased Titan creating L3/Titan in CoSprings. My coworkers were great. Management was average. Pay was average, however our desks were located in a loud server room and there was no money for training on new technologies we were expected to support and no upward mobility. However that was working on a contract for the US DOD. This view may not reflect company values as we were supporting a DOD contract and had little interactions with company sponsors. Other friends I know work for L3 and are pleased with the company, the pay, and the upward mobility within their jobs."
"A decent place to work, however there's some issues that make it difficult."
"L-3 treats all Co-Ops great. The pay is competitive and the tuition reimbursement is a huge bonus. The experience you gain there can be helpful when applying for full-time positions after you graduate. Try to avoid Operations and stay within the Engineering organizations."
"I have worked for L-3 since 2010. They are a great organization and have treated me as a valuable employee."
"Good place to work & friendly people."
"L3 is a great employer. They have state-of-the-art online training, meeting facilities, and a cafeteria in house. The coworkers and people there are very helpful, loyal and great to work with. The work flow challenged my skills and I've relied a lot on the team. My supervisor was the best and we still keep in touch. We became good friends. I recommend working at L3 Communications they are a good employer."
"I have worked for Cincinnati Electronics for the last 5 years. It is very rewarding and I enjoy my job."
