"I have worked for this company on 2 occasions. Once for seven years and again for 13 years. It is a small part of a large company. I like the fact that it is small enough that you get chances to do different things unlike some of the other large companies. Though they say that their benefits are comparable to industry I feel they are a little over priced. The employee is responsible for 25% of the cost and that adds up with the companies limited choices for insurance. This is a good place to start off on a career to "test the waters" and see what you like. Then try other places to do what you like."
"I worked for L-3 for more that 13 years. Unlike some others in the industry, L-3 allows you to experience different tasks and to learn different abilities. One problem being is that sometimes they can throw the person to the wolves. If you do not have the right Lead/boss you can be left hanging having to learn things on your own."
"I've worked for L-3 since 1997. My latest promotion was granted in 2013, nine years since my last one... I have a great software manager who worked relentlessly for the past couple of years to get me my promotion. L-3 is a good company, but does not provide much growth for its employees."
"I've worked for L-3 approximately 5 years. L-3 is a very de-centralized company, therefore I understand an employee's experience can vary significantly depending on business unit. My specific experiences have been mostly positive, however I do miss the investments my previous employer made in training, and tools. L-3 does allow for more autonomy than most companies of its size, which can be a positive."
"I have worked for L-3 for a little over a year. So far it's on par with other defense contractors for whom I have worked. The smaller size leads to better communication and less bureaucracy; but, there is no peace between the branches (different branches will compete for the same sales)."
