I would recommend that anyone seeking work with this company to take the time to research the project manager for the job you are applying for. I would also recommend you research your options for follow-on work once the contract is complete. If you decide to work for any company that falls under L3, utilize the opportunities they offer for additional training and certs."

"It was a good job for a great divisional team."

What do you like about working at L-3?

"The people that I worked with directly were great, and I loved the office where I was at. they encouraged learning."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you are looking to build your resume or start a career in government contracting, this is a good start."

What don't you like about working at L-3?

"It was a fairly restrictive environment as a whole. It is a military defense contractor, so there is none of the traditional perks of working for a tech company."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Lighten up the environment a little. Allow the developers to wear everyday clothes. IT is a little ridiculous to make devs sit around in a suit and tie."

"Erik Lozano was a good supervisor, even though he did not have any real power."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you get an offer from another company take it."

What don't you like about working at L-3?

"The favoritism the senior manager showed was blatant and no secret to anyone. He was arrogant and full of self importance. I do not feel he was a competent or reliable. He was a game player and pitted people against one another. When the layoff came he found a way to keep HIS favorites.Training and promotions were only given to the favorites. There was not way to get ahead or advancement unless you were the bosses favorite. Merit counted for nothing."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Replace upper management with a fair minded, reliable, trustworthy and competent person."
