"The inter-departments are not always on the same page, so at times it is harder to get things completed."

"Know you're coming into a company that is struggling to re-identify itself to its customers as a dynamic leader in building efficiency and green energy. You will need all your negotiation and influence skills to overcome the stovepipes and closed management styles."

"JCI claims to be innovative and flexible, but it is neither. The company is very stovepiped and hard to collaborate within. It is also not viewed by its customers as flexible and easy to work with."

"Learn to really communicate, instead of using information to control others. Flatten the management structure by 50% to become more responsive to both customers and co-workers."

"The co-workers were very good in their field and always willing to help."

"Good company to work for while I was there, but now they only work exclusively on the service side of HVAC systems. The company no longer designs or bids on new jobs."

"The company decided to eliminate its design division, which basically eliminated the engineering department."

"Be able to forecast better in the future when major changes in the company will be coming, such as eliminating a large department like engineering."
