"I like the company but the management didn't really care about its employees."
"What used to be an exciting and challenging company to work for has turned into a micro-managed, top heavy, paper work driven corporate monster. Since the GWS division has been taken over, morale has plummeted, talent is fleeing and those left are spending their days trying to follow their departed colleagues. Several "initiatives" rolled out under the new dictatorship have been poorly scheduled, poorly fabricated and the field managers expected to implement them have not received the training required to make them work. It would be impossible to train them as the "teams" tasked with that training have not been properly trained themselves and have no clue what to do. The work load for the average low to mid-grade manager is insane. No less than 5 "initiatives" have been rolled out together and are in most cases contradictory of each other. Two top executives last year enjoyed $25M (that's 6 zeros folks) between them, while lesser managers received COLA cuts."
"Johnson Controls, 120k in personnel, sets the standard in DDC controls for Building Management Systems. They are diverse in their products and capacity to implement and satisfy customer requirements and will do what it takes to make the satisfaction of difficult issues happen."
"I have great experience working with JCI."
"I worked for this company for sixteen years. They called me back to burn down a critical shortage report. In doing so many processes were removed and rewritten to increase flow and common mistakes that created the part to appear on the issue. I eliminated my own position after a duration of time in fixing these problems."
"The pay scale is very low, and profit sharing and raises after sixteen years and advancement is too low. I worked myself out of a job by alleviating the stops and bottlenecks in the flow of delivery of the product. In researching the parts deliveries since 1997, I was able to put on time deliveries at a 98 percent success from 70. I was the main and virtually the only one who worked the parts shortAges both external and internal suppliers. Increased and developed a communication stream."
"A very strong company where the employee comes first."
"I've worked for Johnson Controls for 4 years as part of an outsourcing initiative with my previous employer. Johnson Controls has a great outlook on where they want to be; it will take a lot of work to get there, but they are making progress despite all the management changes."
"I have worked for the company for the last 9 years, and the portion of the company that I work for has changed drastically. For the last 3 years we have constantly been going through reorganization after reorganization with no clear goal or destination. That said, other sections of the organization may have it better."
"I have worked for JCI for 11 years. JCI is the best company to work in."
"I've been with JCIM for 8 years. Its been a good experience. We manufacture a wide range of interior auto parts."
"Awesome workplace.Friendly environment."
"I've worked for three months as a summer intern. I learn from two engineers and a product manager."
"I interned at Johnson Controls in the Automotive Seating department during the summer of 2013. The atmosphere was great, the people friendly, and I was given many resources to accomplish my goals. Great experience."
