"I've worked for Fed Ex Ground for two years now. The experience has been very good. It practices very professional work habits, ethical behaviors; I just wished the hours/compensation could as be good as the experiences there. I recommend anyone to check out Fed Ex if they are looking for a part time job."

What do you like about working at FedEx?

"FedEx was a good stable company. They do a very good job of watching expenses, and giving stock holder value. They look for ways to improve what they do in all departments and areas, and for the most part, they have good management in place."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Take a hard look at your direct manager or boss that you will report to. If you don't have a good warm fuzzy feeling about them, and how you will work together as a team, look elsewhere. If the person you are interviewing with has a few years with the company, be sure to ask them about their boss or manager and how they work together and support each other to achieve goals."

What don't you like about working at FedEx?

"I really liked it all, but had a bad experience with my direct boss (manager) who did not handle some affairs as he should have for me, and cost me some on the job heartaches and long hours."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I left FedEx and moved on to another opportunity. I think this was a shame, as people don't leave companies, they leave managers. If I had the opportunity to do it over, I would have looked for another way or path."

Assistant Shipping Manager

"This review is 100% to my ability over the four years working for this corporation."

What do you like about working at FedEx?

"I enjoy the customers, the excitement of my team members, and the daily challenges that come my way. I also enjoy the fast pace and high volume. No job is exciting without having a challenge. That's just my personal opinion."

What don't you like about working at FedEx?

"I dislike not having a schedule up until the last minute for team members. I feel a schedule should be posted two weeks in advance or four weeks. That gives team members an opportunity to plan whatever they need to plan so that it will not interfere with their working hours."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be fair to all team members regardless of your personal opinion about that individual. Treat everyone with the same respect and dignity."

Package Handler

"A less than enthusiastic opinion of a former employee."

What do you like about working at FedEx?

"The physical activity was good. the consistent shift was nice."

What don't you like about working at FedEx?

"The lack of communication from management, the poor explanation of policies, the favoritism."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Treat all employees fairly, offer promotional opportunities to everyone, communicate clearer with all employees, explain all policies better."

Package Handler

"Fed Ex was a great stepping stone in my professional development."

What do you like about working at FedEx?

"The benefits. Fantastic health, vision, and dental coverage. Plus at the end of the day I was able to jumpseat and hop on a flight and enjoy free flying with the pilots in the cockpit. I traveled as much as I could. Plus they offered tuition assistance."

What don't you like about working at FedEx?

"It was a factory job. So every day, the job was the same."

Senior Sales Executive

"Good place to hang."

What do you like about working at FedEx?

"I liked the freedom that encouraged an entrepreneurial spirit. Basically, if you were exceeding your sales goals and making your weekly number of sales calls then you were left alone. We had a great training program that provided knowledge on all of FedEx's service offerings. It also kept up with any changes in the industry."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Know ahead of time that bonus checks are unreliable so if you count on them to live, be aware. Be prepared to lose accounts to a lack of customer service."

What don't you like about working at FedEx?

"What I did not like about working for FTN and the reason I resigned was the poor customer service throughout the company's operations group. There wasn't even a blanket SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) in place so there was no real accountability on a corporate level. It was left up to the local manager to resolve issues. Also, without an SOP no two offices worked the same. This led to each office working under its own quality management and therefore issues rarely made it to the executive level. This lack of cohesion led to the loss of both new and existing account. There was also the issue of receiving your quarterly bonus check. The contract / agreement was check was to be received 90 days after the last day of the quarter. In some cases it took 180 days."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would strongly recommend that an SOP be put in place so that every office knows what it is responsible for. This would increase over all customer retention, establish a quality review leading to accountability, show customers that use multiple office locations that we truly are a global player in the industry. Pay their sales people according to the agreed upon time schedule."

"Its a Wonder place to work."
