"We didn't get many hours and not enough pay as well as dealing with customers who bought cars from us who would jump down our necks while the sales guys sit nice and cozy in their offices while we take the heat."

"Increase pay of regular employees while decreasing the bloated salaries of some of the executives there that do next to nothing."

"The people were by far the best part about working at Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Also, really liked the training program and the freedom you had to make your own decisions and move up quickly."

"Make sure you know up front that it is 50 plus hours a week and it will take almost a year before you start making decent money."

What don't you like about working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car?

"Did not feel that the pay equaled the amount of work entailed. Also, did not like how I was treated after I transferred to Kentucky because I felt as if I was a brand new employee rather than one of over two years."

"Do not have any suggestions for management. I was very fortunate to have very influential managers during my tenure."

"Porters do not advance within the company. Porters NEVER get full time hours or benefits."

What don't you like about working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car?

"No benefits or full time hours for porters. They could have you work 39 hours a week but no benefits."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Have some kind of compensations and advancements for porter. The whole time I was at the Illinois one, I never got any compensation."

"The employees have to do too much on a daily basis for the day to day operations to be successful."

"I would have more staffing so my employees don't work more than 40 hours a week."

"In 2002, PCS embarked on a crazy business model with the vision to see the future of transportation. I sought the company out to be a part of it; I worked 4 months as phone support while pitching an IT role to them. They accepted, and I was IT Admin for 4 years, until the acquisition."

"If you're ready for a career or long-term commitment, don't be afraid to let your enthusiasm show, even for entry-level positions. EHI at the local levels afford excellent opportunities for growth within the company."

What don't you like about working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car?

"As a nonprofit, it suffered, along the way, from many of the management and direction issues that sometimes occur when a great idea reaches the point where the visionary must take a step back from vision, and let the business execs provide method. Compensation, as a struggling nonprofit, was well below standard. EHI solved all this, and offered me a position, but it would have required relocation to Corporate IT in Missouri."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"For EHI management now, none except to keep listening to old PCS staff, and member concerns, as they have done. They're aware they're on a new map, despite the surface similarities to standard car rentals. They came in with just what PCS needed."

"I like the location of the branch and the customers."

"The main thing I enjoy about working at the company is helping people."

"Hours and repetitive nature. If there were other fields of the industry to work in the job would not be as tedious."

"Be careful not to burn out your employees. Give the training managers more responsibility, therefore the job is not as tedious and they have a chance to grow."

"There are great opportunities for career growth and learning through the tools the company offers to you. The career is only as good as what you can make out of it. The goal is to expand your own career but only you can make it happen."

"Those who have broad range and far reaching goals who are able to focus on the day to day aspect of the business will expand their career. In the interview show you are confident with yourself, your ability, willingness to accept criticism and have a mission to achieve."

"I consider myself advanced in retail sales to the general public and do a good job at such, however, I would greatly like to expand my career towards a more specific clientele and product."

"There is always room for improvement for anyone and in any aspect of their career, however, offer specific areas of growth opportunity rather than multiple areas at a time as to have the aspects of improvement more obtainable."
