"The lack of a consistent schedule and far to few hours leaves me often without enough money to live on. On top of getting all the hours and work that everyone else doesn't want or feel like doing leaves me feeling like there has to be something better out their."

"I liked that I quit after I was told I couldnt demote myself until another manager replaced me which could take months...in reality I was used until uppermanagement took their vacation"

"make sure you get something in writing because you might be a manager in one department but you will end up working in every dept but yours and still be responsible for deadlines and planograms in yours"

"Underpaid...company lied about bonuses and raises...uppermanagement was rude and did not respect their employees, CBLs and proper training were given to employees"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"employees should get paid according to education, not only experience. Christmas bonuses would be nice to show appreciation to employees. I had a masters degree and they started me at $9.35 per hour. An employee who sexually harassed women was moved up to assistant manager."

"Walmart was a decent job. I was able to change positions into higher pay grades as I needed, based on life changes."

"Be honest. Even if you have things on your record that you think might bar employment, honesty is valued more."

"They do not take employee work issues seriously. Care only about bottom line and forget that employees are a valuable resource."

"Sometimes it is worth is for management to slow down and just listen. Sometimes an ear is all it takes."

"Learn to multi-task, be calm in chaos, change to ever-changing work demands, work with limited resources."

"Get everything in writing and document everything and go in thinking they will not help."

"Changing directives too much, not enough follow through or training - all on your own on the job to figure things out, too many company initiatives not finished and left undone, asked to perform tasks and then have hands tied to perform them."

"just make employees do there job and stop having excuses for everything and follow through with company directives, do what you say you are going to do."
