"not enough room for growth. Its like people are set into there positions and thats it and your in your position as well there where no offers to advance for anything."

"treat your employees with respect because they are the ones who are gonna make sure the mission get accomplished."

"Too many directions from too many sources, unrealistic expectations, disorder everywhere. No one addressing the problems."

"Work part time, of course, you'll probably never get a chance to work full time anyways. Hadn't seen many positions that let you nowadays. And if you work this position, expect to always have some part of you ache all the time, even after work. Oh, and training Better make friends fast, cause you'll get a brief run thorough, and then you're on your own, unless you have another associate helping you."

"There was too much work to be done without much time to do it in a day. Had to get computer training done and never any time for that."

"Go to a random store, any in the country. WITHOUT ANY PRIOR WARNING."

"It's a tough compnay to work for. Its fast pace and hard. You must be able to change with the times and learn to take direction."
What don't you like about working at Walmart?
"Although we have our own freedoms within in the department, they are limited. Tour notes are given daily- mircromanged too much and the expections are too high for one department manager. There is not enough help within the stores to get done what needsto be done. No one is held accountable for their own mistakes and errors keep piling on. The morale is super low and there just isnt any work ethic. Employees are threatened to stay over and work and then told to loose that time before the work week is over."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would listen to those employees around me and try and fix any issues those might have. I would give the tools and resources needed to perform the job to its fullest"

"I love the way the people we work around become close friends and some become family. Walmart strives to unify the work force into a solid cooperative entity. Walmart wants it's employees to feel needed and to know that they are why the company thrives the way it does. Walmart is a great company to work for with opportunities for advancement."

"Interviewing in person can have a lot of benefits that cannot be taken advantage of online."
