Had they not relocated my team roles to headquarters, I would have stayed with Verizon until retirement. "Take the job to earn some money. Do not make it a career at Verizon. It will never happen, because they lay off and do not care about the employees."

What don't you like about working at Verizon Communications?

"I dislike the poor leadership. They have programs to cover themselves in a court, but do not use them. The benefits package was drastically reduced, while senior management did not lose anything."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Start listening to your employees."

"I dislike the poor leadership, poor senior management, constant force reductions, and the stressful environment. They cut the compensation package, yet senior management did not lose anything. Union personnel get all benefits, and lower management suffers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Your health and family are more important than money. Your supervisor is everything and could make or break your career. I had one that cared about herself, and I got laid off."

"I dislike everything else. The people are at the absolute low end of the spectrum in terms of professional capability, the compensation and career growth opportunities are abysmal, and the IT management is overtly racist."

"Shut the place down! :)"
