"I've worked for the US Air Force for 4 years as an aircraft mechanic. Unfortunately it's a very undervalued career field in the military. It's very long hours and often weekends, with no additional pay. I often work 60+ hours a week and get paid the same as someone with the same rank, working in an office for 40 hours a week. And he gets air conditioning and lunch breaks. The additional demands of this job don't come with additional incentives."
"Wonderful work environment with the best young men and women one could ask for. It was a pleasure to serve in the USAF."
