Working at United States Air Force in Charleston AFB, SC: 5 Employee Reviews

Operator

"The military just like any company in the civilian sector has its benefits and short comings. The most frustrating aspect of serving is this type of capacity was the bureaucracy of leadership and their tendency to overlook the ideas of lower ranks who are more technically proficient and hands on everyday than they themselves are. My airmen have come to my many times with brilliant ideas that I then relay to leadership above myself only to be shot down by. What I will miss the most about serving is the comradery shared by my team and myself. We are all friends at and outside of work while maintaining a professional atmosphere at the office."

"I worked with the United States Air Force for 5 and a half years and have loved every second, minute, and hour of it. From the various countries I’ve been able to travel and see, the friends that have become family, and skills I have acquired along the way this branch is amazing and I will always appreciate everything it’s done for me."
