"All of management needs to be able to work with different skill sets and thoughts about how work should be done. There is more than one way to get a job completed and not talk down to employees that have a vested interest and commitment to a project."

"Some, not all, make it very clear that if you are a contractor there, you are dirt, and should stay in your place."

"They think their poop don't stink, and they are techno snobs. I'm an Apple guy. As a contractor I could not rate them very high in some categories. Your experience may differ."

"It is a boring, slow-moving corporate behemoth, drowning in bureaucracy. Barriers to advancement (or even lateral team transfers) are huge. Plus it's in Redmond. Blah."

"Your success is more based on politics than it is on actual job performance. Find out who the decision makers are and then cozy up to them, and you'll be good come review time."

"Upper management is generally inept, looking out mostly for themselves, taking credit for the work of those under them, burning those people out while they're taking repeated vacations, and getting all the money at review time and throwing a scrap or two to those who are actually getting the work done."

"Quit, so someone who actually cares about the success of the company can take your job and make decisions based on that desire rather than on your own greed."

"Pressure to perform and internal competition are very high. It is a very stressful environment."
