"I have worked for Microsoft for about a decade. It's a great company to build your career. You'll work on cutting edge technologies while being paid a fairly competent salary and meet some of the smartest people you will ever come across in your life. The downside to Microsoft is near constant churn. About every 18 months to 3 years expect to be reorganized. You might be working on a project you love today but after the next reorganization you may be on a project that you just can't get passionate about."
