Working at Microsoft in Los Angeles, CA: 6 Employee Reviews

Education Sales Specialist

"I have worked for Microsoft from 2011 and 2019. I have witnessed internally how much leadership means to a company. Back when I started in 2011 under Ballmer we did not have a clear vision for Microsoft's future. In 2014 when Satya Nadella took over as CEO and changed our vision to be cross platform and cloud based Microsoft grew to being only one of two trillion dollar companies in the world. The culture that Satya Nadella instilled in me is what I bring to the table. A growth mindset."

Product Advisor

"I've worked at Microsoft since November 2013 as a product advisor. I enjoyed helping the clients with trouble shooting, setting up phone service and finding the right product for them. The work environment was great, fast paced and friendly. In a work place where people are continuously coming in and out, there is rarely a dull moment."

"Microsoft's 'Stack-Ranking' system, which forces Supervisors to rank direct reports against each other, forces a significant % to be rated as 'underperformers' and makes it very subjective how one will fare. It is politically driven and holds employees accountable for things they cannot control."
