"HP has been a stable company for a number of years, although lately things are not going great for them. They've announced another round of layoffs. There's a lot of talented people in the company. HP has undergone so many changes including several CEOs and upper management people. I think now the current CEO is doing some good things for the company to grow and improve its image. I think long term, HP will continue to be a dominant player in the IT industry. Overall, I think it's on track."
"I enjoy working for Hewlett Packard and have been able to contribute immediately to my sales team and company as a whole. I see our CEO, Meg Whitman, as having a great vision for the future and a constant desire to improve upon practices and operations. My only problem is that I am required to be located in Arkansas for my position even though my territory is in the North East."
"I've only worked as an intern for two summers, but it has been a great experience."
"HP as an overall company was pleasant to work for. Every company has their good and bad, but HP as a whole, it was desirable."
"I've worked at HP from 2011, HP is a great company but meets a great challenge to the new IT innovation. HP is changing to find the new way to keep the leading position, such as in big data, cloud computing."
"A good company with good people. However, compensation is low. But job has great flexibility."
"HP used to be a great place to work. Salary increases have been almost nil for the past 10 years and workforce reductions have made it so one man does the work of 3. Opportunities for advancement are few and far between, forcing people to look elsewhere to get ahead."
"I've worked in HP for almost three years, and it's a great place in all sense of word, infrastructure, coworkers, open-minded relationship."
"Good place to start your career, but an average company in the industry."
"Although they are currently on a downturn I believe HP is a growing company that will hopefully find it's way back to the top."
"The best work and life balance ever."
"I've worked for HPVL as a contractor for 2 years now. There is no advancement, there is no benefit to excel or go the extra mile to do the job. you will not be compensated... PERIOD."
"I have worked here since late 2013 and I have enjoyed my time here. They have treated me well, but I am displeased with my current salary and the lack of time it takes to grow within the company (within my sector, at least)."
"Worked at HP since 2001 and have overall good experience."
