"Once I was laid off and took an offered package, I have never been able to get a job there again."

"If you get hired, plan to learn all you can, get all you can get and always be prepared to look for the next job."

What don't you like about working at IBM?

"Long term employees don't mean anything to IBM anymore. After spending 32 years with the company I was laid off. All long term IBMers remember there was a time when IBM treated their employees like family, (As long as you performed your job in a satisfactory manner you would always have a job) but those days are long gone, the company just doesn't care about employees that have given years of their life and have made personal sacrifices for the company."

"It's the challenge of the job."

"I liked everything about working for IBM. Salary, benefits, flexibility to do your job."

"Most of the people I worked with were good hard working people."

"I didn't interview. We were outsourced from another company and we just changed employers. IBM hired all of us and eventually will get rid of all of us."

What don't you like about working at IBM?

"Layers and layers of bureaucracy. More concerned about processes and procedures than doing the right thing for the customer. My manager at IBM was the worst manager I have ever worked for, ever!"

"And this is for all management in all companies. Take care of your employees and they will take care of you."
