"Been working at IBM for 27+ years, not the same as when I was hired. Demoralizing, constantly fearing Resource Actions, and so much cost cutting that you cannot get anything done. All skills in the company are gone so just finding anyone that knows what's needed to get their jobs done is nearly impossible. Only focus is on 2015 roadmap (stock prices), respect for the individual is gone."

"The people at IBM were great, but if you were not working 12 hours a day 6 days a week, you were not doing your job. I would not mind that kind of schedule in a small company when all the extra time is needed, but a large company, it just does not seem necessary and it over stresses everyone."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get managers who feel that software is not a tool, and it is the wave of the future."
