Working at United States Army in Naples, FL: 1 Employee Reviews

Signal Officer

What do you like about working at United States Army?

"It was always something new. As soon as I mastered one skill or task, I'd have 2-3 more challenges. I loved it."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Always do the right thing. Even when it is hard. Understand that you don't know everything, and always look to build teams which you can learn from as well as lead."

What don't you like about working at United States Army?

"The leadership was changing, the values that I came to love were becoming lost as people were more worried about image than doing the right thing. The ethical climate was eroding and I couldn't continue to be part of it."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Treat every person under your care as an intelligent, thinking being who has the ability to do great things in spite of seniority or junior status. I had some incredible subordinates who deserved accolades who were overlooked by my superiors because of their lack of time in the job, and I saw people rewarded for breathing oxygen just because they were in a job for a longer time. It was wrong. People notice."
