"Working third shift was not always the most fun. I consider myself a people person and not too many people are there at 4 a.m."

"A girl selling diamonds and other sparkly jewelry - there was nothing not to like. Flexible hours while working my way through college were nice too."

"This business has since gone out of business - advice would have been- dress nice and listen to your customers."

"One thing the company can improve on is the investment in HR department, hence having limited growth potential and opportunities withing HR pyramid."

"No suggestions, but more of encouragement to continue to develop and recruit the best talent (it shows in performance of the company and engagement from teams on all levels)."

"Generous employee discount and I was able to work my way up fairly quickly."

"Be very fashion focused and friendly! Customer Service is a top priority."
What don't you like about working at Lane Bryant?
"I HATE the forced 45 hour work week! It's completely unnecessary. 42 hours a week should be sufficient enough to get done what we need to get done. Also, they never seem to send us enough product. We often sell through item quickly and never receive replenishment. Plus, the customers are insanely needy. I've never worked somewhere before where customers expect you to hold their hands for them the way that LB shoppers do...I just don't get it ( I realize that has nothing to do with the company itself). The pay SUCKS! Even as a manager I had to work a 2nd job for awhile. And, I hate having to shove that damn credit card down everyone's throat"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Stop forcing managers to work 45 hours a week! I often feel like a caged animal in my own store! Start being more generous with compensation, you have lost lots of great talent by not giving raises out for several years in a row. Have better training programs in place, all associates should receive the same training, not just certain SMs. ."
What do you like about working at Lane Bryant?
"There is lots of growth right now within the company ( I was promoted to store manager only after one and a half years with the company, and they have one of the most generous discounts of any retailer I have worked for"

"Customer Service is the number one priority for this company! Going above and beyond for your customers will get you far in this company."
What don't you like about working at Lane Bryant?
"I hate being forced to work a 45 hour week! It takes hours away from my employees and it's completely unnecessary. Also, they are beyond cheap when it comes to compensation. They often bypass raises altogether or when we do get them they are very small. It's insulting really."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Stop forcing managers to work 45 hour weeks, it's often unnecessary and takes hours away from hourly employees. Market better, we STILL have people who are clearly not in our demographic coming into the stores. And, make sure the stores are stocked better, I often sell thorugh items quickly and never get replenishment."

"the company treats you like a cash cow when you produce there are happy but when things are bad they are constantly pressing that you will get fired for every thing"

"pay the good employees what they are worth ,treat them with honor"

"Customers, WOW Culture, decent compensation, room for advancement, job stability."

"Bring the WOW. They're all about a first impression, looking for an outgoing, sales oriented person."
What don't you like about working at TD Bank?
"Too many goals, objectives, initiatives, all may be well and good but impossible to keep up with or achieve all of them. With too many focuses comes loss of focus."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The company asks a lot of their employees, especially the managers. In an ideal world it would be doable but the company needs to support them more with staffing, policies, etc, sometimes just running the store is a 50 hr a week job not to mention all the other objectives they want you to do. Things also change very fast, which can be good because it's progressive but focus changes so fast and there are so many that all focus is... lost."

"I loved my store, and seeing it grow from a brand new store to a profitable and friendly place to shop. I loved seeing the associates grow as I trained them in all areas of my store."

"Work hard and you can grow in the company. Don't get too close to any of your employees."

"I don't agree with the policies that they had in place. It should be fair for all employees."
