"The long hours because it was a 24 hour business."

"Let the manager run the business like it was his own."

"It was a fast-paced job and I had a lot of fun working with customers."

"K B Toys went out of business and all stores closed down."

What do you like about working at Nebraska Book Co.?
"The summer hours are good. This place makes you look for another job because it is so abysmal."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Find somehwere else to work. This place is just horrible. I've ran many retail stores and this is the biggest Mickey Mouse organization I've ever seen."
What don't you like about working at Nebraska Book Co.?
"No training. No raises. No Support. They still use DOS as their main system. Everything is outdated and it is hard to provide customer service in 2012 with a system from the 1980s. You take complaints all of the time because you aren't able to fill customer needs because of the roadblocks the company puts up. The corporation is laughable as a whole. They won't even pay your store's utility bills on time. The accounting system is a huge waste of time and paper."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Test things out before you roll them out to the entire company. You need to get better POS and inventory systems in place. Stop looking at spreadsheets and look at actual stores. Stop cookie-cutting them. Dartmouth is not the same as OU. The buyers are a joke. It's embarrassing when you run out of notebooks the first day of classes."
What do you like about working at Subway?
"I enjoy working with Franchisees and their managers to ensure they get the top training possible to operate an efficient store. I enjoy traveling and training per Subway Standards."

"Be yourself and have some strong QSR and business background."
What don't you like about working at Subway?
"Limited career advancement as it is based on the number amount of stores we open per territory."

"Less micromanaging and more automaton. More recognizing and rewarding employees. All will help increase revenue versus not recognizing employees."

"I like helping customers succeed financially, developing and promoting my team, and being in a top branch in the chain."

"Focus on sales. Demonstrate an ability to maximize sales and numbers."

"I dislike micromanaging and having to be on three to five conference calls daily."

"The best thing you can do for your success is to trust your people and continually encourage them to grow."

"The youthful culture, the people I work with, and the fact that it is a larger company with a strong brand."

"If you want to work at the corporate office, don't be talked into working at the store level first."

"I don't feel that I have enough control over decisions being made or freedom to explore new ideas."

"I would take a lower salary and pay my employees more. I would also make sure people are being promoted based on their performance."

"I enjoyed working with my staff and the customers from the neighborhood."

"Be sure to ask for complete disclosure regarding benefits and sales expectations."

"I did not like the arbitrary way that programs changed."

"My only suggestion would be that they need to be consistently honest with their customers and employees."

"Sometimes the early mornings get to be a bit much."

"I actually liked working there they unfortunately closed and no longer have any locations."

"I would suggest giving incentives to let us know we are doing a great job."

"Insurance benefit. My coworkers keep me going everyday! My former district manager helped us stay positive about our jobs. He cared about us and appreciated our work."

"You should focus on sales skills and customer service when interviewing."
What don't you like about working at Sprint?
"The company constantly changes expectations. We struggle to meet the demands of customers due to staffing shortages. There is a complete disregard for how hard we work and they do not respect our time. Take time from PTO if we do not work 45 hours a week but do not add time to PTO if you work over 45 hours."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Focus on positive motivation, not negative! Allow time for a work-life balance. Celebrate employee tenure. Offer incentives to show appreciation."
