"Raytheon is a great place to work if (a) you're just starting out and want to get a masters degree, or (b) you prefer to stay with one company for your whole career. It's usually a good place for a good paycheck and job stability."

"In my department we were fixing 20 year old code. We were constrained to old equipment, old languages, old development methodologies. I felt like I was training to be a veterinarian for dinosaurs."

"I'd pay equal attention to ALL staff and eliminate the caste system of emplyee management."

"It's very risk adverse, so I spend a lot of time doing boring, predictable work with boring, predictable results."

"Try to figure out more fully what type of work people want to do and help them find ways to do it."

"Depending on what you work on, the amount of process can be overbearing. There's too much focus on short-term goals. There's very little focus on employee development and keeping employee skillsets current."

"I would put much more emphasis on long term development of company skills and technologies."

"They have lots of money to procure equipment. They haven't fire my coworkers yet."

"Go to a smaller company where the pace is quicker, the support more responsive and you can get better recognition."

"it is too big. You get lost in the machine. There is no sense of ownership over any apps/technology/servers. CSC constantly messes up projects given to them to maintain."

"Improve the email system, lotus notes sucks. Decentralize the datacenter."

"I had to commute to El Segundo, near LAX. When you add in the commute, it made for a long day of work."

"Weather out the poor economy. Jobs will return. There are some jobs, but very selective and in a downsizing mode now."

"Not enough empowerment of the workers to proceed in the optimal path for success."

"Listen to the technical experts more and less the finacial planners. Performance only can happen with technical ability, not frugal optomistic schedules."

"Would have to take are vacation time in order to get a full paycheck when times were slow."
