"I've been working at Raytheon, Space and Airborne Systems for the past 15 years right out of college. The people are friendly; the management I've had were generally not overbearing; and, the work is challenging. This is a defense contractor in the aerospace industry, so the pace tends to be slower than the commercial sector. But overall, I enjoyed working for them."

Working at Raytheon in Dallas, TX: 16 Employee Reviews

Raytheon Employee

"The Dallas location on North central expressway needs a lot of cleaning up to do as far as the black managers and supervisors. This guy name Don Mccready is a black dirty old perverted ass man that goes around and harasses women if he can’t get your full attention on him. He tries to make your job very hard. None of the supervisors know the work but try to tell you how to do your work. Then when you have a personal problem and someone is steady picking on you and you go to HR about the situation nothing is done about anthem later on you will be laid off or fired. I’m not sure what’s the purpose of HR because they never do their job. Raytheon is Just giving away free money. You got sone people that comes to work everyday and do nothing all day but nothing is said to them but when someone that they have a problem does that they always got something to say. Another unprofessional one that works there as a line lead / supervisor is Franklin Grant he don’t do nothing but sit around gossiping and telling the employees business and harassing the little young Mexican girls trying to sleep with them but they’re afraid to report things like that because they’ll will lose their job for reporting things that’s bothering you. Never seen anything like it. Getting paid for nothing because sone of the supervisors don’t even know how to do your time. It’s sad in that place. The pay is great but If you’re black, cute and gets a lot of attention you want make it under Donald McCready and Franklin Grant. If you’re Asian or Mexican or Korean then I think you’ll make it 100%. That’s what I experienced the whole 9 months I worked there. Just being honest and giving you a heads up. Corporate needs to take a visit to the Dallas location and start asking questions and replace a lot of the black manager and supervisor that they have. I forgot to mention that Zachary Baker is a prejudice white man. He never know what’s going on in the factory just going by numbers. He does whatever Don tell"

"The company is very good for learning the skills to launch you to another level. The people you work with are very knowledgeable and usually pretty easy to work with. Building I'm at is pretty old and they still have a lasting "good ol' boy" kind of workplace. The work is pretty fulfilling with your average day-to-day things that can get monotonous. Overall, not a bad place to work."

"I worked first at Raytheon when they acquired the defense business from TI and then until the group I was associated with was divested to L-3 Communications. When Raytheon was transitioning technology from California to Texas, I returned to find that the integrity and moral attitude of the group had improved significantly during my absence; new ideas were embraced and accepted, people were involved in decisions. When contracts are available, Raytheon SAS was a great place to work."

"I worked for Raytheon Company from 1998, when Texas Instruments sold off their defense business, through 2004 when our department was sold to L-3 Communications because of duplication of effort between California and Texas. During that time, Raytheon was and continued to strive towards being an ethical and recognizable company that valued its employees. Returning to Raytheon in 2008, it's values of ethics was even more ingrained into its culture; there is a great deal of respect between workers."
