"I began at E Systems which later was swallowed up by Raytheon. I wrote sw code for a spread spectrum communication system. The sw language was C/C++. I initially enjoyed my position there. I wore many hats there. I was an adaptable engineer. Over the years it became too bureaucratic. But I survived."

What do you like about working at Raytheon?

"Had some honest bosses, and was unionized. Test procedures faulty or insufficient."

"This Raytheon was union, therefore the best or worst all paid the same, at layoff time new people out, old deadwood kept."

What don't you like about working at Raytheon?

"All previous comments not withstanding, Raytheon is one of the best companies to work for and in how they treat their people."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Bosses could pick favorites to spy or non-favorites to intimidate. Union kept them in check."
