"I've been employed with PepsiCo since 2003. It's a very competitive business. They do believe in supporting their employees and they also do have decent medical, vision, and dental benefits. Its just been pretty repetitive and it a business career for a lot of people, just at this time not me. I feel it's not what I want to retire from."

"I've worked for PepsiCo for 4 months. Like any big corporation, you are at the mercy of the direction that Pepsico wants to go. One moment you could have a work/home life balance and the next you could be working 60 hours a week. You are a sales rep for them and if they want you to sell more, then you sell it."

"They are moving Data Center to Texas so jobs going from Winston-Salem. All Top managers are in Texas so less opportunity for Winston staff for a personal meeting. In Texas there are having huge Data Centers in Plano and RDC and never got chance to see them being in North Carolina. It was a good experience working with Pepsico."

"Frito-Lay is a very stressful company to work for."

What do you like about working at PepsiCo?

"I like that I am able to work on my own most of the time."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be professional. Make sure you are qualified for the job."

What don't you like about working at PepsiCo?

"The disorganization of the management and key account managers. The company does not listen to their sales people. Expect high sales numbers with low stales numbers. Warehouse is unable to rotate product of which sales people end up with short coded product and are expected to get out large quantities without returns (stales). Management schedules write up to keep sales people in line. There is a lot of extra work due to dated equipment. Pay will stay the same most of the time you are there. Over time pay is less per hour than straight pay. No time and a half."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of the plus outs and pre sold displays. Let the sales people work their own routes and you will see results. Most of the sales people at the company know what they are doing. Give the sales people their planners and back off."
