"Frito-Lay is a very stressful company to work for."

What do you like about working at PepsiCo?

"I like that I am able to work on my own most of the time."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be professional. Make sure you are qualified for the job."

What don't you like about working at PepsiCo?

"The disorganization of the management and key account managers. The company does not listen to their sales people. Expect high sales numbers with low stales numbers. Warehouse is unable to rotate product of which sales people end up with short coded product and are expected to get out large quantities without returns (stales). Management schedules write up to keep sales people in line. There is a lot of extra work due to dated equipment. Pay will stay the same most of the time you are there. Over time pay is less per hour than straight pay. No time and a half."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get rid of the plus outs and pre sold displays. Let the sales people work their own routes and you will see results. Most of the sales people at the company know what they are doing. Give the sales people their planners and back off."

What do you like about working at PepsiCo?

"This was a convenient location with flexible work hours and an opportunity to progress."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Generally, relationship management is highly valued. You should have great examples prepared of how you have collaborated with others and deal with difficult relationships."

What don't you like about working at PepsiCo?

"There was lack of strong leader as an inability to make decisions and set a game plan is prevalent. Manager favorites get all the advancement opportunities/projects."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Encourage bravery! I understand most businesses want to minimize risk, but the level of risk aversion at Pepsico is really high and drives a lot of the frustrating behaviors lower down the chain. e.g. decisions by committee, no learning from failures, etc."
