"Great company to work for."
"I've worked at Northrop Grumman since 2018. I have had a relatively positive experience with Northrop. The people are very nice and helpful. There are many different programs you can work with and management encourages finding the right position for you. But with all the positives, there all some negatives. As a big company, it seems people get promoted based on the time they are at the company, and not by the skill. I have worked with junior engineers that outperform senior level engineers. Promotions don't seem to be given based on merit, but rather tenure."
"Great Family oriented great benefits"
"Good company with lots of great opportunities."
"I've worked for Boeing for 27 years. Started with a salary of 37.5k and worked my way to a 135k position."
"Cool product, the Rancho Bernardo organization is culturally broken in the sense that it is a culture of C players."
"I worked 4 years with this company. While I was able to work on what I was hired to work on for the first year, when the funding was done with that, I had to work on other assignments not related to my Java or SQL experience. They do this often with older workers. You will find yourself possibly working on undesirable tasks and when you get laid off, you will no longer be fresh with the experience. The underlying result is that when you look for your next job it may be more difficult."
"Loved each and every day I went to work at Northrop Grumman."

What don't you like about working at Northrop Grumman?
"Facing my pending layoff in June, naturally. It requires several adjustments. But I won't miss the twice-weekly 190-mile round trip commute between Seal Beach (where I live) and San Diego!"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Our division was constantly reinventing itself as the economy would fluctuate. That is a necessary evil, but there should be enough constants in the workplace to maintain its integrity. I am facing layoff in June. I had one supervisor comment in a group meeting that the layoffs will get the division down to fighting weight. For 10 years, I always thought we could fight pretty well, but I'm not management."

"Used to be a good place to work. But not any more."
"Northrop has great people and interesting work."
