"Management was poor in many areas and had little concept to what truly works. They were much more interested in the bottom line and success was second. Security was something I was concerned with."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Look at quality, background of employees vs. if they were Colonels or Generals in the military as a hiring point. I understand the need for these people, but they should be kept out of the kitchen."

"Management treated me very well and I had the ability to try new ideas and concepts. This is a company that I enjoyed working for."

"Come to Lockheed Martin with a positive attitude and be willing to learn."

"Projects take too long to mature."

"Upper management should be willing to take more risk in order to gain additional business."

"80% of our division (1200 employees) were laid off due to poor management. LMGT was shut down 1 year later."

"I really enjoyed the opportunity to gain a very high level of experience in the field, both nationally and internationally."

"Very poorly managed. They are unable to sustain the company in the commercial IT industry with government contracts."

"Create a separate, non military driven company to enter the commercial IT industry. Require upper level management to have adequate experience in the field and hold them accountable for mistakes and not listening to more experienced employees."

"Don't micro-manage. Practice management by objectives and management by example, continuously provide coaching and feedback for improvement to subordinate employees."
