"I was given the opportunity to work for Lockheed Martin in October 2007. From the very first day, I was allotted an incredible amount of responsibility and projects. Some of these projects included expanding the current Scala InfoChannel network as well as upgrading the players to the newer version. I truly believe my time at this company (3 1/2 years) has given me a concise and well tempered view into how industry works, specifically technology and application therein."
"Lockheed was a great place to work. Interesting and rewarding."
"I've worked at Lockheed Martin for 6 years. Overall, they are a very good employer. The only downsides are that they are slow to embrace new technologies and I do not like the way they relocate personnel."
"I have enjoyed working for Lockheed Martin and really enjoyed working with the people. Sadly, the branch I am working for has decided to move operations to Denver Colorado. I found that advancing in the company is very difficult because of increased difficulty in the industry. I would continue to work here though if the company was not moving. It is obvious the company does not have any real loyalty of the workers."
"QA Engineer Associate entry level engineering opportunity."
What do you like about working at Lockheed Martin?
"Very flexible work schedule and an incredible work environment when you realize the products that you're actually contributing towards."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be honest, submit all relevant documentations, including transcripts, and when negotiating with HR, let them know what you're worth; don't let them sell you short on salary. Also, be sure to research the area they may try to relocate you to. Though I'm in the same state I grew up in, the cost of living in the area I'm working is double of that where I am currently living, so living in that area became costly and almost unmanageable even at my industry standard salary."
What don't you like about working at Lockheed Martin?
"My particular position wasn't as relevant to Mechanical Engineering as I had hoped it would be. Because of this, I felt stuck and got bored at work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Ensure that the employees you're hiring will truly be happy in their positions. I really don't think a Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer belongs in a Quality Engineering position, because in my honest feeling, there isn't a lot of engineering to be done in quality the way it's operated at Lockheed. My interview had me more under the impression that I'd be doing more of that of a failure / test engineer in quality."
