"I have worked at General Electric for a little over 9 years. I found GE to be a fair employer with great growth opportunities for advancement and sound succession planning. The work environment was great and the culture was diverse and professional. GE had a pretty good compensation package and offered RRSP matching along with a healthy benefit package. GE practiced work life balance and worked to create an environment where everyone felt comfortable to be themselves and express their opinions without fear of judgement. I highly recommend GE as a wonderful place for employment."

"I’ve worked at GE for 3 years. GE has harassment and diversity resources in place, but opportunities are based on an individuals network. Coworkers are to help each other in order to secure their own role. Management tends to down size lower level employees and not the increased number of mid-level managers."

"Was more and more paperwork. My job substantially changed 4 times in 2 years. Change for change sake was always a problem."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Need to improve workflow. No attention to the company as a whole, decisions were made as a silo and that creates so many problems for a complete IT management."
