"This is a great company to work for with a lot of room to grow. They pay very well but you will take on a lot of stress for the compensation. The only downside is that they flip flop frequently on moving jobs from the business to a centralized location. Stability is not always the best."

"I was so excited to start a position with GE last year. They talk about the "GE family" but then GE decides to do mass-layoffs on a regular basis. Permanent re-organizations (three in 8 months) make it easy for the "layoff staff"."

"GE is a great place to work but because it is so big you can be more susceptible to layoffs and things can more easily slip through the cracks. On the positive side they have a wide reach and there are a lot of opportunities to move up or move around to gain more experience."
